The history of Mercedes Benz

Mercedes is known worldwide as a symbol of wealth and class. Mercedes Benz cars are known for quality and durability. Did you know that all cars Mercedes personally signed for maintaining quality by top engineers of automobile? Mercedes-Benz's history goes back nearly 150 years ago when Gottlieb Daimler got back together with Karl Benz this mark that we know today.

Over a hundred years, the birth of two men in the history of Mercedes Benz. Gottlieb Daimler was born in Germany. A decade later, Karl Benz was born in Germany. Interesting enough, there were 60 miles apart but both share a common interest. At a very young age, both already exposed to machines, but both have different approaches for building cars that nobody believed at that time they will merge.

In the year 1886, Karl Benz made its first motor tricycle that followed shortly by a Wheeler in 1893. On the other hand, Daimler construct a horseless carriage was built and two years later he struck an agreement with William Steinway for horseless carriages in the production of the United States. Steinway produced Mercedes cars and trucks for 3 years. This was a stepping stone for the history of Mercedes Benz.

The war in Germany, has played a very important role in the birth of this prestigious car. With a decline in the economy, there was little or no fuel for cars and a high tax is 15% and production cars because of this devastation, Benz requested for a strong partner as RC.DMG, but initially rejected. Then, the economy became worse and there were very few cars in the United States, with only one-third of all cars produced by Ford and Benz, RC.DMG. Due to the need, Benz and RC.DMG signed an agreement of mutual interest while preserving their individual identities.

The greatest achievement in the history of Mercedes is when both the RC.DMG and Benz merged. There was some tokens made for the merger of two companies. The insignia was a three-point star with a Laurel around it, with Mercedes Benz at the top and bottom. The merger was very successful and production cars rose to approximately 7,000 cars in 1927. In 1930, he began the largest and most prestigious car and Mercedes Benz remained one of the leading brand in the automotive industry to date.
