Jaguar XKRS - A Bold and Exciting Drive

Comments (0)

After releasing a standard sports version, 'XKR' in 2010, Jaguar has made it again this year by launching its new superior Sports Car, 'XKRS'. The stunning luxury car has entered the '300 kph club' for the first time, which can be accredited for its powerful 5 liter supercharged V8 engine that delivers 550 horsepower and 501 lb/ft of torque. The outstanding features and blazing color make it a bold yet exciting automobile in the jaguar collection. If you wish to drive a bold 'XKRS', then you can try other shades like Ultimate Black Metallic, Italian racing red, Stratus grey metallic and French racing blue. It's highly aerodynamic design enhances its performance even more and this is what makes it so tempting, especially to racing freaks like me.

The Design

'XKRS' has been designed under the directions of Design Director Ian Callum. The aerodynamics of the car has been considerably improved in order to achieve a higher speed target. The new bumper design features vertical lines in the front running down from the edges. This new design also supports the lower spoiler and new carbon fiber splitter. Vertical side power vent, LED headlights and more compressed main air intake make this new model slightly different from its predecessors. The most impressive section is the 20 inch Vulcan lightweight forged alloys in a dark finish that actually exert a pull.

Interiors of the car are embroidered with a sporty theme. There are new performance front seats with incorporated head restraints and enhanced lateral support. Glossy black finish on the center console and ebony soft feel paint on switches offer a luxurious feel, while depending on an individual taste, people can also go for dark linear aluminum finish. Carbon leather accents covering the seats along with leather wrapped steering wheel with multi functions makes the driving experience doubled.

Performance

Jaguar 'XKRS' incorporates a 5 liter supercharged V8 engine that delivers 501 lb/ft of torque making it a powerful engine on roads with a top speed of 186 mph. The upgraded front and rear suspensions, splendid aluminum architecture and numerous other staggering features in this car make it a pricey deal of $132000, that is, almost $36000 more than the price of standard 'XKR'. The car is very flexible and can easily meet the day-to-day driving needs. It reaches a speed of 100 km/h from rest in just 4.4 seconds, while top speed is beyond 300 km/h. The improved aerodynamic design of the car offers better stability at very high speeds, as well.

So, are you ready to drive it on?
